The outer circle indicates if there is fuel in the oil. A light clear ring will form the outer circle. This ring will appear after a few minutes of the test. A small, light ring is common as oil and gasoline come from the same family. When the level of fuel in the oil is low, the clear ring remains small. If the ring is larger, the fuel content in the oil is larger. If the result is a small, light ring and is still visible after several hours, then the result of the fuel in the oil is considered to be moderate. If the ring is large, there is a higher level of fuel in your oil.
